Emergencies on the road can happen to anyone, regardless of how cautious a driver you are. Today’s Driver Driving School teaches its students not just to drive but also to handle unexpected situations with calm and efficiency.
- Breakdowns: If your car breaks down, signal and pull over to a safe location. Set up your emergency triangle if you have one, and stay in your vehicle if you’re on a busy road. Call for roadside assistance and wait for help.
- Accidents: In the unfortunate event of an accident, safety comes first. Turn on your hazard lights, check for injuries, and call emergency services if needed. Exchange information with the other party and take photos of the scene for insurance purposes.
- Medical Emergencies: If you or a passenger experiences a medical emergency while driving, pull over safely and call for medical help. Keep a first aid kit in your vehicle and familiarize yourself with basic first aid procedures.
- Extreme Weather: Should you encounter severe weather conditions like a blizzard or a thunderstorm, find a safe place to pull over and wait it out. Keep an emergency kit in your car with essentials like water, non-perishable food, and warm clothing.
